Thank you for citing my work, "Sound Wave" on your site.

I am currently collecting old trophies for a site-specific installation entitled, “Everyday Monuments” that will be part of an upcoming exhibition in Washington, DC. I invite you, your extended family and friends to participate by donating your old trophies.

Here is a direct link to more information about the project, including the donation form pdf:

http://www.jeanshin.com/pdfs/Shin%20trophy%20donation%20form%20FINAL.pdf

The form includes information on Washington DC drop offs (due DECEMBER 13th), but if an alternative location in New York City or elsewhere is preferable, please contact me at info@jeanshin.com.

Please help me circulate this email to your community via emails, blogs, listings, etc.

I hope to have you represented in this project, and that you will be able to come see “Everyday Monuments” as part of the solo exhibition “Jean Shin: Common Threads” at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, on view May 1 - July 26, 2009.

All my best,
Jean Shin

Hey there!
I think your post on how to Go Green with your crafts is a great thing to put out there for readers. There are so many ways to help the environment, sometimes it can seem mind boggling. Finding a specific way to help, in a specific area is a great way to start Going Green without being intimidated! I have a blog about helping the environment, and I love seeing other people putting the word out there too. Awesome job!

This is too funny and I can totally relate. I love the special people in my life but sometimes when the phone rings I just go arrgghh. Don't they know I'm making jewelry, banging out some metal, or otherwise in the artistic zone??
